  • Hi there! My name is Dr Brendan J Dunlop (BSc Hons, ClinPsyD, FHEA, CPsychol) (he/him) and I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and Managing Director of Rainbow Junction Therapy. My therapeutic approaches mainly centre on adapted Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Compassion-Focussed approaches. I have lots of experience working with young people that are transgender, non-binary, gender queer or gender questioning. As well as this, my primary area of expertise is bisexual mental health and self-harm/self-injury behaviours. This is what I have done most of my clinical research in. I found that when I was working with clients, therapy skills were often not adapted for LGBTQ+ people. So, I rolled up my sleeves and created ‘The Queer Mental Health Workbook’, which is the first-of-its-kind LGBTQ+ self-help resource. I am really looking forward to hearing from you and working together.

  • Hello, my name is Jake and I am a queer clinical psychologist. I particularly work with people who have experienced difficult life events (including, but not limited to trauma), where managing relationships and emotions are difficult, and who find themselves stuck in life patterns that cause them problems. I often work with people from minoritised backgrounds, with a particular clinical and research specialism in LGBTQ+ mental health. I aim to work in a culturally-sensitive way to account for the impact of stressors related to minority status/identity; support clients to cultivate skills to navigate life; and help with reprocessing of traumatic and difficult life events, including those associated with their identity. My main therapeutic offer is in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). My programme of research has a large focus on working to improve how therapies meet the needs of LGBTQ+ people.

  • Hi everyone, my name is Chloé and I am a Registered BABCP Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, soon to be Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist. I have been providing psychological therapies since qualifying in 2008. I am really passionate about supporting clients to reach their goals and I have a special interest in supporting those navigating fertility difficulties, pregnancy and parenthood. This includes LGBTQ+ parents navigating their family, or family planning, journeys. I have spent most of my career working within the NHS with adults experiencing mental health difficulties. I take great pride in offering a warm, engaging and supportive therapeutic environment.

I am a member of the BABCP Special Interest Groups for clinical supervision, perinatal mental health and Compassion Focussed Therapy. I have completed continuous professional development (CPD) in long term conditions (LTC) and my MSc dissertation was on the impact of LTCs on individuals’ mental health.

  • Hello! My name is Dr Edward Mundy and I am a Clinical Psychologist (BA, MSc, DClinPsy, PGCert) with over 10 years of working in the NHS and academia. I understand that people can seek therapy for a range of reasons, so I will work collaboratively with you on your goals for therapy using my expertise and a range of psychological approaches. I offer a therapeutic space that explores, affirms, and empowers who you are.

I have significant experience of working with adults who have been through adversity and trauma which can lead to an array of difficulties, including problems in relationship, feeling stuck or lost in life, struggling with identity, using drugs or sex in ways that creates distress, or experiencing unwanted reminders of traumatic events. I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioural and psychodynamic, to help you manage in the here-and-now as well as understand and address the causes of your difficulties. I conduct and supervise research into gay men's psychological health, having published on sexualised drug use (commonly known as 'chemsex') and I supervise doctoral research on compulsive sexual behaviour amongst non-heteronormative men, all of which I use to inform my work.

  • Information pending

  • Hi everyone, I’m Daisy. I’m a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Interpersonal Psychotherapist with additional training in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. I also have extensive experience in helping individuals with long-term health conditions such as Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain.

My passion lies in enhancing the mental health and well-being of LGBTQ+ individuals, providing a safe space where you can feel seen, heard, and empowered to make positive changes in your life.

As a lesbian, I have significant experience working with others from the LGBTQ+ community, including trans and non-binary individuals. I have a particular interest in addressing self-esteem issues and supporting the mental health of lesbian and bisexual women.

I founded the National NHS Talking Therapies LGBTQ+ Network and contributed to the recently released NHS Talking Therapies Positive Practice Guide. Additionally, I am the founder and chair of the BABCP LGBTQ+ Special Interest Group.

With over 10 years of experience in mental health within the NHS, I now also work privately, exclusively serving the LGBTQ+ community. Outside of therapy, I enjoy gluten-free baking, running (albeit slowly), and being a proud dog Mum!

  • I am an experienced and accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapist (CBT) therapist, also trained in EMDR. I like to empower my clients to become their own therapists, using evidence based techniques to help clients overcome their issues of depression, anxiety, worry, trauma, fear and stress.

I am accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (www.babcp.com) which means that I am qualified to a high standard, and committed to continuous professional development and regular supervision to maintain those standards. I also sign up to the ethics code and practice for this association.

I have worked in various settings, using CBT and EMDR as my two main therapeutic approaches. I specialise in treatment of common mental health problems such as Depression, Post Traumatic Stress, Generalised Anxiety, Phobias, Health Anxiety. I have a particular interest in Trauma related difficulties.

Clients describe me as a warm, compassionate therapist and I like to consider that to be true. I am interested in all my clients and working in partnership to help them overcome their difficulties. I identify as a Bisexual, Cis Female and hope this helps me understand the obstacles that the LGBTQ+ community may experience when accessing psychological therapy and working to remove them.

I work online only at present offering individual sessions.

  • Hello! My name is Charlotte and I am a Clinical Psychologist with 20 years of experience with supporting people experiencing distress, difficulties with mental health and other challenges such as addiction, self-harming behaviours and identity.  I have lots of experience working within communities that are often marginalised, socially excluded and/or misunderstood.  I have particular expertise in working with complexity and adversity and strive to offer a compassionate, affirmative and safe place within which we can explore your needs and work together towards your goals.  I work within a Compassion Focused framework but also have training in other modalities such as CBT, ACT and narrative therapy, and will adapt your therapy to meet your needs.  It is important to me that your therapy is working for you; working collaboratively, I will encourage you to let me know if something does not feel quite right or is unhelpful so that we can adjust or change it!

Throughout my professional work, and personal life, I have experience of supporting people within the LGBTQ+ communities and work with both young people and adults.

I mostly work online but can offer face-to-face therapy for those living in and around Winchester, Hampshire.

  • I have over 25 years experience as a Counselling Psychologist with a professional interest in anxiety and trauma and in the last ten years the experience of trauma in the LGBTQ community in terms of family, relational and somatic trauma. I do have a particular interest in bodily trauma, distrust and dysphoria. The bedrock of my therapeutic approach is person cantered but I do work with informed appreciation of the approaches such as DBT, ACT, EMDR, somatic work and nervous system regulation.
